On Aug. 14, authorities executed search warrants on Therapy U Plus, located at 4201 Church Road, and Crystal Spa, at 402 Birchfield Drive. Both establishments had been under investigation for several weeks, according to Mount Laurel police.
Agents from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Immigration and Customs Enforcement Bureau and the FBI assisted township detectives at each location. Approximately $11, 000 in cash — suspected as proceeds of prostitution — along with other evidence was seized at the scenes.
Police added that there is no link suspected between the two businesses at this time.
Xiang D. Zhang, 30, of Flushing, New York, was arrested at Therapy U Plus and was charged with engaging in prostitution. She was released pending a court hearing.
The leaseholder of the office suite for Therapy U Plus, Heetae Jung, 37, of East Northport, New York, was charged with promoting prostitution and operating a sexually-oriented business within 1, 000 feet of a residential area. Honglan Jin, 36 of Voorhees, was arrested at Crystal Spa and charged with promoting prostitution and operating a sexually-oriented business within 1, 000 feet of a child daycare center. She was released pending a court date.
Yujeong Ji, 50, also of Voorhees, was charged with engaging in prostitution and released pending a court date.
